Sweet deal! All bucks are trophies when taken on public land. You have to take them as they come on public land because if you pass on one it might be your last. WMA Archery Buck
Shot this 4 point on a North Central WMA that has the "Forked Horn" rule. He was chasing two small doe's and was about 15 minutes behind them. Shot was right at 25 yards and I drilled him right through the heart with the broad head lodging in the opposite shoulder. He ran less than 100 yards before ...

I see you are from Cross Creek and I have seen several Piebald deer hunting in Lochloosa. They were always in one area of the WMA.

That is just shedding of their summer coat. With the camera flash it makes the area look dark.

I didn't go cause I knew it would be a waste of time, there again I only live a couple miles from where I hunt. I wonder how many were even checked in this last hunt. I kinda wish they (FWCC) would make it archery only and do away with the gun hunts.

Well how did everyone do this past weekend? I went Friday Morning and Sunday Morning and sat till almost noon both days. Friday I only saw 4 Jake's and my dad had two doe's come by him but other than that it was dead quite. Sunday morning I had a "deer" come by at about 60 yards with it's head down ...
