I went to the show and like others was very disappointed. I spent most of my time watching the turkey calling contest which I enjoyed. If I go back again it will only be for the contest. My goal is to be a competitor next year instead of a spectator.

Has anyone here fished in green swamp during the fishing season? I want to go in there and scout for turkeys since they allow you can drive in there during the fishing season. While in there I may as well do some fishing. What should I expect? I don't have a boat so I will be strictly bank fishing. ...

Its never too early. The most important thing right now is learning the land. Learn every obstacle that might hold up a gobbler. They are starting to establish dominance right now so the gobbling should pick up every day.

Those Dang gobblers will tear up everything in site. They even harass women and children. My services are available to take care of those pesky critters. They have been the source of my insomnia for quite some time.
