Pig Attractants

I have a new 400 acre lease west of Starke, Florida. The deer and turkey activity seems to be good to excellent, but what I really like is hog hunting. I am sure the surrounding pine forests must have some running around in them. Is there a way or trick to attract more hogs to my little piece of hea...

Need Hunting Lease

I am wanting to form a small club for friends and family. It would be 4 - 6 hunters in size. Would like to have a 400 to 600 acre lease in the N.E. Florida area (Clay, Duval, Bradford, Baker, St. Johns counties). I am looking at this for the 2015/2016 season. We don't need any amenities other than t...

Re: Anyone else see this as silly?

I wish this state did like some of the northern states and required the harvesting of a doe prior to the harvesting of a buck. This state is over run with does.

Re: BIG BUCK PIC

Oh so there are some deer left in N.E. Florida. Congratulations. I have had a very disappointing season. Well, it's all over for the year tomorrow. Time to start prepping for next season.

Re: Ammo choice for hog hunting with .223?

Actually, when you get up in the 75 grain range, you do need a faster twist in your rifling, but not a 1 in 9 or 1 in 10. You need to go to a 1 in 7 twist. These numbers mean the distance the bullet has to tavel to make one complete one revolution. A 1 in 7 is a lot faster twist than a 1 in 9 or 10....

THis Election And Gun Control

Gentlemen and Ladies, As I am sure you are aware, the time to vote Obama out of office is fast approaching. It is time to talk to everyone you know who may be undecided and explain the dangers of reelecting Obama. I can't imagine still being undecided in this election, but there are those who are. I...

I got involved on my own when I was about 13 years old. I'm now 60 and I still learn more each time I go to the woods.

Re: Snake Protection

I've hunted in Florida for most of the 60 years of my life and have never owned any sort of snake protection. As a matter of fact I can probably count my number of unintentional snake encounters on one hand. I say untintentional because I used to roam the Everglades hunting for snakes to sell in my ...
