Coming out of imam the sta will be close to you. Read about ducks and how they act will be a big help. Check FWC for rules. Remember no lead shot in your possession. Read and scout

Re: Need bush hog service

Crock that looks like a bush hog job to me. The guys at my place really earned their money. The machine they started with died, just glad no one lost any body parts. Then out came the weed whacker and push mower. Good news is all the tall grass is short. It will take me a good three weeks to make it...

Re: Need bush hog service

Exactly what luv2hunt is saying. Bahai grass is tough and thick. A riding mower just can't cut it when the grass is over knee high. Mix in some Johnson grass and it's all over. The heat from the engine cooks the oil and blamo a new lawn ornament. The guy that I hired is using some type of home made ...

Re: Need bush hog service

That is the problem crock, using a finish mower as a bush hog usually ends in disaster. Hopefully I will have my issue resolved today. Hauling off about ten mattresses and assorted garbage grass cut down to a manageable height and gate installed. I will let you know. Maybe this fellow will do a good...

Re: Need bush hog service

I hear you tree farmer. Riding around and trying to talk to folks about getting some work taken care of doesn't work too often. I did that sort of thing years ago. After getting shouted and yelled at to leave the property I gave up. I have a young fellow coming out tomorrow to take a look at the yar...

Re: Need bush hog service

Nacho I thought you were locked up, must be out on work release. I have tried Craigslist but no luck. Either I'm too far or the job is not big enough. To rent all the equipment is a little spendy, about $500 for the day and that is the shortest rental time. Anyone have luck with a piece of equipment...

Re: early bird

Very true. I remember pass shooting ducks I central Wisconsin. Walking a mile through floating grass pods carrying shotgun deeks ammo. One miss step and straight down waist deep mud and water. That was truly miserable. But I killed a ton drake mallards.

Re: early bird

Sta is a very long drive for me, that's the main reason I have not made it to lake o yet. Paddling for half hour is not so bad. Guess the key is how much gear to bring. With a boat I get to bring all the good stuff to cook breakfast and lunch coolers for drinks 3 dozen deeks. Some spots I hunt requi...

Re: early bird

Glad y'all got a few ducks this early. I just did a motor swap on my Long tail so I did not make the early season. I will be ready for the nine day and regular season. Thought about trying Lake panasofski this year. Went bass fishing and thought it looked great for ducks. What kind of boat can be us...

Re: Dove season 2014/2015

Well I went out to the dove field in Haines city by myself. Had a Few birds come in dropped two but other hunters dropped several. I don't understand or know anything about the field being full I showed up late and picked a spot and all was good. Only saw about twenty trucks and about forty hunters....
