UM is walking distance, so that works perfect. Thanks!

Re: Miami area bass or inshore

I'm in Coral Gables just south of UM. I should also add that besides looking to meet up with someone to fish from a boat, I've been looking to just fish from shore/bank as well. I've been driving around searching. Also, I see canals (such as Snapper) on GoogleMaps, but I haven't checked any of them ...

Miami area bass or inshore

I live in Sarasota, but I'm currently in Miami for the summer (until late August). If anyone bass fishes or gets on the inshore bite, I will gladly supply beer and gas $. I work during the week, but I'm free to meet up any time on the weekends. I really want to fish for some peacock, snakehead, and ...

Weight guess?

I normally fish inshore on the kayak, but I had to sell the truck (does it get much worse), and then sold the 'yak. I am paranoid about strapping things on top of my small car for liability reasons. Anyways, I just picked up bass fishing and have been hitting up the golf courses in Sarasota. I have ...

Re: A nice Free way to help the forum!!!

Maybe you could add a Amazon.com tab to this website. Every time a person accesses Amazon by clicking through the link embedded on the website, a portion of the money goes to the website's pocket. And, it doesn't increase the cost for the person making the purchase.

Re: Has anyone knocked on a land owner's door?

@eaj1010,

Thanks for the response. I like how you approached the situation. I know the answers will be diverse, but it seems like you haven't had any extreme responses even when being given a "no" response.

Re: Has anyone knocked on a land owner's door?

Ya I am trying to hear what has happened to anyone first-hand. People can speculate and say land owners are over the door knocking, its been ruined, etc. but I am curious if those stories are accurate.

Has anyone knocked on a land owner's door?

Have you ever driven by some land and thought that would be a good place to hunt, and then actually stopped and knocked on the person's door and asked them about hunting their property? If so... What kind of reaction did you receive? Were you allowed to hunt? Did you offer anything in return for the...

Re: Myakka Friday morning

Saw some little guys, around 40 lbs. Still some water on the ground, so next time I think Ill bring some waterproof boots to get deeper into it. I will be going down there again, there is definitely a ton of sign, and its not like the pigs are hard to find. I might bring a climbing tree stand as wel...

Re: Myakka Friday morning

I've never hunted there before, is it a decent spot? I'll be heading out tomorrow morning for Myakka. Hopefully it doesn't get too packed for opening archery.

Light grey wording on dark grey background is somewhat difficult to read. What happened to the white background? Thanks!

Myakka Scouting

Hi there,

My name is Brian and I will be going on a scouting trip down in Myakka SGA on Oct. 12. I went scouting today (Sept 29th) and it was quite wet and inaccessible. If you would like to join me on the 12, let me know. I will be going out there for the archery season which opens on Oct 19th.
