Re: Meat Rabbits
Glad to hear your rabbit project is going good. Keep a close eye on the other one, my doe didn't pull hair, she just had them right on the wire floor. It's just luck that my daughter went out and checked them early that morning and we put them in the box where she later pulled hair and took to carin...

Re: Tagging deer meat ?
Yeah I have checked numerous bucks in at Citrus and several other areas with stations and got the little FWC plastic snap tags. But I agree with Ted, I have never heard of calling one in nor is there a law for it. Like I said I was aware of the rule for tagging just never heard of or see anyone real...

Tagging deer meat ?
Well on this past quota I shot a buck, there's not a check station and I wasn't near home so I did what I've done countless times. I shucked his drawers, quartered him up and threw him on ice. Well two days later at camp we get a visit from the Warden. He was a real nice guy while thoroughly checkin...

Another public land buck.
Drug this one out from a Muzzle Quota this past week. Not the monster I was hoping for but I'll take it. Between success, fairly nice weather and good friends it made a great week in the deer woods and camping. Can't believe season is on the down hill run though.

Re: Meat Rabbits
I recently got a couple New Zealands my self. The lady I bought them from said she didn't think they were old enough to breed yet so I threw them in a cage and took them home where I separated them into their own pens. A month later I had 7 more rabbits :eek . They're 3 weeks now and growing like we...

First of all or first of the season? Either way congrats on your success. It's nice when you can get the family involved.

I have that permit as well but I'm hunting another WMA for 7 days just before it so I'm not sure if I'll get out there or not. We normally camp at holder but If I make it I'll be sure to look you up.

Re: Blood Trailing and Shed Hunting with Jäger
How old is he ?
As I posted before, we just got our new lab pup as well. He is 8 weeks as of Sunday and is the laziest pup I've ever owned. Possibly a tad spoiled by my wife but that's another subject. Anyways I hope he starts perking up some or I can forget having my blood dog !!!

Re: HEY, BOO-BOO
FWC site says East and Central units are closed for Sunday, already met their objective. 207 killed state wide on day 1. I'm confused, I understood you were guaranteed 2 days to hunt but had to check the harvest report before hunting day 3. What changed?

Re: HEY, BOO-BOO
I think they'll meet it and I'd be really surprised if they get to hunt day three. That's for the central zone anyway. Just hope there's no major conflicts with the protesters out in the woods harassing the hunters, because I've heard they have big plans of screwing it up as much as they can.

Sounds like normal public land hunting to me. Just gotta keep at it.
