Re: Does anyone else find it strange that FWC is being so quiet about the new deer rules??

You can only get 3 bucks and 2 does with doe permits even on private which you have to apply for. I just downloaded the new reporting apps for reporting any deer that you get yes even private. I put in for Croom and Homassasa which I got but have to see if I get drawn for the doe permits if not the...

LAKE GEORGE-DEXTER/MARY FARMS

Good morning FOHAF forum brothers & sisters. I hope everyone survived the storm. I picked up a re-issue permit for the archery hunt on this WMA. Just wondering if anyone on here has had the pleasure of hunting it? I've never set foot in the place because I haven't had a reason to - it only about 35 ...

Re: Does anyone else find it strange that FWC is being so quiet about the new deer rules??

"Establishes an annual bag limit of 5 deer, of which no more than 2 can be antlerless, per hunter." To me this is very misleading - they should clarify that WMA's will still have their established limits (i.e. Ocala, Osceola and Appalachicola NF) - plus I doubt they would allow does to be taken on t...

Re: PA TRIP THIS YEAR

Looks like a good time.i have family in montrose pa and need to go up there one year and hunt. We are in WMU 2D area - I really like how they sell the doe tags online. I had 3 doe tags this year and was hoping to fill them all, but 2 was ok. Still haven't filled my buck tag in 10 trips! Not as many...

Re: PA TRIP THIS YEAR

Very nice!! Those annual trips sure are fun and something to look forward to for sure. You are absolutely right! I am hoping to get my son up there with us this year. It's a been a great experience for me every trip to just get away from the noise - try to listen to what God is telling me - and eat...

PA TRIP THIS YEAR

Well, Blackpowderscout inspired me and I have to share my pics of our annual trip to PA this year. Out of 5 guys we took a total of 7 does. Weather started out great and got wet and sloppy by the time we left. Mid 20's upon arrival 1 week after Thanksgiving and mid 30's when we left 5 days later. We...

Re: Cooler/Ice Chest

I read a lot of reviews on the Walmart Ozark coolers and they were almost all positive. But, I've owned a couple of the 150qt Igloo (white) coolers over the past 10 years or so. Replace the hinges and latches every few years (or replace with stainless). Cooler was $70.00 - If it's full of ice it wil...
