Re: Sad news last night

My cousin is Ocala PD and had to work the scene. Most of OPD knew the trooper and the tow truck driver. The third gentleman involved passed today at ORMC. I think all three have left children. It is quite a loss.

Re: Turkey thug gobbler chair

Awesome you got that deal, Lolo. Mine were $5 more in store. I would have done ship to store if I had known it was the same chair; Walmart often has cheaper prices online for whatever reason. The chairs seem to work out just fine, but like many, I may do something to modify the strap(s). They will a...

Re: Black Bear Meeting

I'll take back the comment about Ocala meetings; they have already been held. I never heard any word on them. I am curious what the future holds for bear; it seems that many here are resisting hunting as an option.

I just hope he doesn't run the turkeys out of there.

Re: Black Bear Meeting

I would, but I'll be sitting under a tree that day. I do wonder if they will hold a meeting here in Ocala, since we are known for that rather large forest that happens to be full of bear.

Re: Turkey thug gobbler chair

Quick edit here - the chairs sold online have a lower weight rating. The turkey thugs I picked up in store cost slightly more, but are rated for 300 lbs.

Re: Turkey thug gobbler chair

They have about a dozen of these at one of our Ocala Walmarts. I picked up two since we are doing a family camping trip next week. Even if they don't help me get a turkey later this month, I figure they are more compact for camping purposes anyway. They also claim a weight limit of 300lbs, so they s...

For the summer sausage, I also used the seasonings from Gander, and pretty much followed what l2h was saying. They turned out great.

Re: costco

Not that we have a Costco here, but I will know they are now on the list. Sure, they have every right to make these declarations, and I have every right not to shop there. The fact that they don't want their rules posted "because they may lose members" shows how yellow the upper management is. I ref...

Re: Another GOOD DEED! Day 2

My bank told me the biggest thing is gas stations where you slide your card in at the pump. They make a plastic mold that goes over the unit. An exact fit. And it allows you to get gas but it sends your info wirelessly to a persons cell phone thats waiting near by. Sent from Mossy Oak Swamp Bottom....

Re: Knockout Game - What Would You Do?

For cases like this, age can be an advantage. I wish that 76 year old was carrying, because that would be a clear cut defense case. I am close to Zimmerman's age, so even though I would still draw a weapon, I am not confident the case would go as smoothly. It seems like the libs don't want us to def...

Re: Any knowledge of Rossi 22's?

I have the round barrel. What I have found is about the same. It would probably have to be pristine to push $250 for round, since you can find them for $150-180 if you look hard enough. I would imagine the same is true for the octagon barrels. I have not personally seen any octagon barrels going as ...
