Re: Small caliber deer rifle
My grand father has been shooting a ruger mini 14 .223 for many yrs now running dogs. He loves it and is very deadly with it. He had to go to a gun that didnt kick so much because of shoulder issues. Been thinking about getting one myself.

Re: taking over a lease ??s
Yeah buddy. We've been seeing alot of bucks here lately. Hopefully these water levels will be higher than the past 3-4 years and it'll push a majority of those bucks out of the swamps and return to the glory days of doggin.[/quote] Yea hopefully this rain will help with that. I still plan on hunting...

Re: taking over a lease ??s
The president didnt renew because he had another lease he was in and didn't have time to hunt this one. Plus the guys he ran with didn't want to join both clubs again. So they decided to let this one go. But thanks everyone for your input I'm sure it will be very helpful.

taking over a lease ??s
I’m in the process of taking over a dog hunting club in north Florida and completely new to this. I've never been over a lease and want to make sure I do this right. What questions do I need to ask and what do I need to watch out for? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Lol I know what you mean. That's normally us but we aren't jumping as many bucks just capitalizing on the ones we do. Are you hunting the forest now ?
