I have a 5 shot Tarus .38 I carry Concealed also. Once more, another gun I highly reccomend. All were less then 500...

I just bought a .380

I just bought a Walther PPK/S .380. My plan is to use it for plinking and possibly as a Concealed/Carry to give my .38 a break now and then. This is the first .380 I have owned and have not shot it yet. How is the .380 as a defense weapon? Any comments on .380's or Walthers?

Re: availability

I went to a gun show last week and there was a guy there selling a box of 500 .22 Long Rifle Federal for 60 dollars. In December this same box sold at Wal-Mary for 16.99. Talk about Price Gauging.

Re: open sights vs scopes

I recently bought a Marlin 336 30-30. The iron sights shot 6 inches to the left, but the bullets were on top of each other. I adjusted the sights and got it to 3 inches to the left. So I put a 3X9X44 Simmons I bought at Wal-Mart. Now I an Dead Center 1 Inche High at 100 yarda and dead on at about 15...

Re: Cheap alternative to a vacuum Sealer

I use zip lock bags and a sink full of water, have been doing this for years. Put your meat or fish in a zip lock bag and lower into a sink full of water. Take it down till just the zip lock top is above the water then zip it shut. The water pushes the air out of the bag for you. Dry off your bag an...

Re: back up side arm

I am sure you can if the back up is black powder also. I also know you can if you carry a Concealed Weapons permit. I have one of those. I know in North Carolina you could carry a .22 back up on your side in the open durring black powder season but I am not sure about Florida.

Re: back up side arm

I have Always carried two back ups. I carry a .22 Heritage arms to dispatch any animals not finished by the first shot. And I carry a Rugar Security Six .357 with a 6 Inch Barrel for Bears, Hogs and Idiots. So far I have not had to use the .357 but I feel better just knowing it is there if I need it.
