did you beat him??? LOL ok, like i said, i would have it drilled and tapped. if you have it, spend the money on a good scope, all of my scopes are higher end and have never had a problem. not to say cheaper scopes aren't good, i am just not willing to take the chance.

the scope on my 8mm is a Leupold VX-II 1 - 4x 20mm. works really well.

if it's a WIN. 94 it is top eject. and yes it is a PIA, (this is just from my experience) it is hard to sight in, and to keep it zeroed. i have an old Mauser 8mm that no matter which mount the shell would hit the scope on the eject. now you could do this. if it were me , i wouldn't put a scope on it. simple fact that it is an offset mount. i have had a scope on a mod.94 and it was more trouble than it was worth.
