Re: Not a new member, but I've been away for a long time.

Hey glow worm i have the trick to keep bears off the feeder! Please tell me. Another member has a large drum feeder hanging from a 4x4 on top of two really long (20 ft plus) 4x4's. The drum is attached with heavy rope, and a pully and a boat winch. He said he had to sink them into the ground really...

Looking for trapping equipment

Hey,

I'm looking for Coyote/bobcat/fox leghold traps and accompanying equipment to get into the sport. We have a bad yote problem, and want to start trapping them before the fawns and turkey chicks drop/hatch.

thanks

Re: What to do? Lease guest took wrong deer?

Yes, The buck was unique it had ONE antler that barely forked, the other was missing due to some altercation. Yes, the guest had seen pics of the single antlered buck, it was even named. The guest claimed he thought it was the 6 point we saw on camera. Clearly, you can tell the difference between a ...

What to do? Lease guest took wrong deer?

Hello, I have been toiling with this issue and wanted to reach out to the community to see how to handle this. A friend is on a lease, he worked hard to get it ready. He had some friends help him as well, in hopes to be invited to hunt. The friend allowed his buddy to hunt and hunt on his stand. Wit...

Blue Crabbing in Bradenton?

Is there a good place to blue crab from shore or bridge for blue crabs? I don't have a boat , so I would be stuck to fishing from a pier/bridge or some other fixed structure.

I got about 5 of them triangle traps which close as you pull the line in, any advise for them would be nice too

THanks
G

Re: Found a home in green swamp.

I know, I just got to keep at it, just wish my work would understand that I need to hunt more, and work less, however the boss doesn't feel the same way. I told him that the more I hunt the better person I am allowing me to do a better job when I am at work, again he didn't seem to care. LOL On a ha...

ANYone doing any good in Myakka?

It seems to me that a few years ago, Myakka was the place to go for piggies, now it seems like they are all gone? I heard about the trapping over the summers and was wondering if anyone has had any luck recently? I live just up the road, and was thinking of heading there in the evening or next morni...
