Re: New from ... Indiana!

Thanks!
I found out she is moving to Clermont, west of Orlando ... and pretty much in the geographic middle of the state.

Re: Indana 2018

If you can hunt deer in Florida, I mean seriously find, understand and kill deer in Florida then you will love public land in Indiana. But there's hills so the fat boys better get in shape. Yup. Parts of Indiana has elevation changes. For real ones. Brown County definitely has some relief! I'm up i...

Re: Indana 2018

What part of Indiana do you hunt? I live and hunt near the west side of Indy. I got three this year, a doe (152 lbs on hoof, 126 lbs dressed), 8 pnt buck (160 lbs dressed) , and a button buck (~90 lbs dressed). The first two were with my crossbow, and the BB was with a ML. The BB was wondering aroun...

Re: New from ... Indiana!

I'm back! I took a few years off the forum, but the prodigal son has returned. My mother-in-law is moving to FL, somewhere near the Orlando area. It looks like I'll be taking the family and the final load down on Spring Break. I'm not sure exactly what the plan is going to be when we get down there,...

Re: Carpal tunnel advice

Any of you guys vision going also? Just an unrelated question that's it... Yes. I went to the eye dr. last year. I've noticed that I've started having eye dominance issues - my left eye is better than my right eye (dominant eye). I now have 20-20 vision in my left eye and 20-25 vision in my right. ...

Re: Jerky

Another vote for Hi Mountain jerky mixes - that stuff is awesome! I have tried several of their blends, but I personally like the 'mesquite' and 'hickory' mixes best. I've started adding in some 'inferno' as well to give it a little more kick. The inferno jerky just tasted like salted meat with some...

Re: My buddies vehicle accident in Tennessee

Just hit the deer! I nailed one doing 80MPH on the interstate on the south side of Indy in 2000 Taurus. I hit him with the front left corner of the car and he messed up the hood, the front bumper, the left quarter panel, both driver's side doors, and we found a piece of antler broken off in the wind...

Re: New from ... Indiana!

I think the problem was just volume from Spring Breakers, snowbirds, and Easter traffic. It wasn't just Atlanta, the traffic through the entire state was horrible. Although, part of the problem is that it seems Georgians don't know what "Keep right except to pass" means. I passed a lot more cars cru...

Re: New from ... Indiana!

Well, i'm back at home now. I managed to fit my wife, three kids, my hunting gear, all of their stuff to spend a week in FL, a cooler full of hog meat, and a smaller cooler with a hog head in it all in a Ford Fusion for the return trip. It's a good thing I've taught my wife how to pack light over th...

Re: New from ... Indiana!

A friend and I went hunting with "Trapper Dan" on Sunday. Mike and his crew were great - the stand hunt was unproductive, the first set of dogs over-heated, and Mike got another set of dogs in to chase the oinkers. My buddy was just going to tag along for the experience, but he ended spearing a hog,...

Re: New from ... Indiana!

There are still hills over in the southeast corner of the state. I am from near the west side of Indianapolis - up where the glaciers flattened everything. But thanks to the glaciers we sure can grow corn up here now! I am leaving tonight to start the trek down with the family. The plan is to do som...
