Treefarmer, wow. That's pretty neat about the cows eating the antlers. I guess it's natures mineral lick!
Amazing how they can sniff that out and eat it.

Re: Another one down
It was not. Just laying in the grass. I suppose it could have been in water and then the water receded but I don't know as I don't have much history with with lease - having just joined in July. I do know that the area is now underwater due Irma....but it surely isn't stopping deer from moving throu...

Re: Another one down
Thanks Gents. Found this shed the day we were setting the stand up. If he's still alive, what are the odds he's still in the area? Think it's his home range with a possibility of him showing up? Haven't caught him on any cams we have in the area but maybe he's smarter than us. https://uploads.tapata...

Another one down
Another great Saturday evening in the books with my dad. They were really moving after the morning rains for us. Saw a handful of does and a buck on the way into the stand and we were hoping that the trend would continue. This buck came in from the deep swamp on the edge I was sitting in. Heard him ...

Opening Day Success
Got on a new lease this year and late at that (end of July)......the family and I worked every weekend that we could scouting, checking trail cams and hanging stands. A few of our stands were on the outskirts of some cypress swamps that had good sign but we thought that they may be un-huntable due t...

Here's a pic of my wife getting ready to take her for a spin the night I picked h...

New Deer Jeep
Picked up a new woods/beach buggy back in March. Had it to the woods a handful of times and can't wait to put some meat on the back! http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff108/reel_spoiled/527bbb46a7341bbc1d627ea43ec911e8_zpshhuj1hke.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff108/reel_spoiled/478aebea04...

Re: How?
Dony1 hit the nail on the head. How much is your time worth? Time is money. I spend a lot of time at work.. Usually more than I would like. When it's MY time, don't mind spending the money if it saves me from wasting time. Granted, I enjoy the camp work days and feel better about hunting when I know...

I'm no botanist and maybe I should know what this is as a deer hunter, but I need help with this plant ID. I've never hunted food plots nor agg and my neighbor just planted this. Can someone help me properly ID this? Also, will deer/hogs eat it and be drawn to it? It was midday when I rolled by so I...

Huntin with the Boss
I'm always the intermittent contributor, but I'm always reading and learning from you all. I enjoy reading all of the stories so I thought I'd post about a great week I had a few weeks ago. It all started when my boss got bit by the bug and was itchin to get back in the woods. He hadn't been all yea...

Re: I got an extremely intelligent Beagle yesterday
Great looking dog. It sounds like you are going to have your hands full. If you keep that dog occupied, you will have a great dog that will work hard to please you. If not, you'll have a good looking dog that will intentionally do things you hate just to piss you off. Thus getting your attention. It...
