Zone B starting to heat up

Post by Iluv2hunt » Sun Nov 16, 2014 6:34 pm

I take my dog walking usually about 5 days a week to some SWFMD property. The rubs started showing up in the last few days as well as big walking deer tracks. I saw a massive buck the other day. I won't even say what I guesstimate him weighing or scoring as people would laugh at me and tell me I am crazy. This place isn't hunted (other than a few poachers and bordering locals), so the deer can get some size on them..

I'll post some pics

When I come back from camp over turkey week I will be bringing a game cam home. I had one out before but only got does and porkers on cam.

Now that's a hot scrape. Pretty cool seeing all the different deer that visit it, and a couple fine ones too . Good stuff !!!

Neat video, what camera is that?
Several different bucks, all of 'em a good! Funny thing was the little button buck was the only one really "workin' at it". One of them hogs was a sure enough big one, too!

My buddy has 10 acres that backs up to that area. He actually lives a few miles from the walking/riding area. He says he saw a monster last week and tried to get him to stop. That buck wasn't having any of it and kept on going. He didn't want to take a bad shot so he held up.
Last week I saw a stud working some branches in that patch of woods just north of SR 56. It's about that time for sure!

Wow Allen, is that around here? That was a fine video. Healthy looking animals there deer and hogs. It would be nice to be able to hunt locally without having to drive 8hrs one way!

Not at liberty to say where, but yeah it's "around here". Lol. Just a prime example of what happens when deer are allowed to get some age on them
