First shed

Post by Iluv2hunt » Thu Apr 09, 2015 6:47 am

Was out for our daily walk yesterday. It is finally dry enough I can get to the back of this area we go. I walked down a beat down game trail into a hammock and it opened up into an area that it looks like someone had been throwing corn. Also found a bunch of empty motor oil bottles and hydraulic fluid bottles. Happened to look down and this shed was laying there/

Been hunting since I was in diapers and this is the first shed I have ever found (in Florida). I have found several when I hunted Ga

I guess the dirtbags using the used oil/hydraulic fluid to attract hogs don't mind looking at the litter while sitting out in nature. Aside from any "tree hugging" environmental issues it may cause to the water table, just seeing garbage out in the field bugs me. If you spend any amount of time there I assume you packed it out & cleaned up after these POS :crap: . The only place I ever found sheds was in Co many moons ago, but the area was much more open & they were easier to spot.

cool! i have found a couple in upper hillsborough, and green swamp and green swamp west. but i have only been hunting a few years. it is too bad people trash everywhere they go. the amount of trash on public land is atrocious.

50 yrs in the woods....never found one!

Congrats :)

Did however get to check another off the list this past weekend.

Saw a panther within 30 yards. A BIG one!

I've never found more than a forked shed and the tree rats seem to get the best of them. Although I have found 3-8 points that didn't get recovered. This guy must have been sick... Found part of the arrow 10' away.
