season updates

Post by doghunter » Wed Nov 18, 2015 3:51 pm

How would you say your season's going? I have not stand hunted much (besides killing a 6pt). Our number of small bucks is crazy high from what I have seen. We are running up to 5-6 forked bucks per day and blowing past numbers I remember back in the golden days of doggin when I first started. This is in both leases (Taylor/Jefferson and Dixie/Lafayette) as well. I just wanted to see how everyone else season is going and if other folks were noticing it as well.

Sounds like y'all are havin' a lot of good races! Brings back memories of the good ol' days when we were in central Florida prior to Mickey's arrival. Gun season hasn't started in zone D yet, hope we get to see lots of bucks like y'all are doing when it opens.

Nanny goats - saw 1 small buck back in archery. Most others have been seeing smaller bucks (spikes). Haven't spent a whole lot of time in the stand other than plowing a pig last weekend. Once I got some deer in PA I kind of got the don't give a crap attitude, BUT I AIN'T GIVIN' UP!
