Way to go, any blood left in it? That's one heck of a trail to follow.

Well, I will have to say that to bad all hunts don't end that way. 15 minutes after the squirrel came out she bounced into the plot. I had to wait for her to put her head down so she wouldn't catch movement. Just as soon as she dropped her head I raised the x bow and she raised her head back up. Of course this time it seemed for ever, the thought passed thru my head to make a head shot. Seeing that it was the first meat in the freezer this year I passed and waited for her to drop her head once again. When she did I drilled her between the shoulders at 4 yards. With those expandable broadheads it was violent, I literally had a solid blood trail for about 20 yards to where she fell. All said and done she was 120 lbs. and will be good meat.

Yogi ruined my hunt, came in right at prime time. I decided to use a little gentle persuasion to get him to move along, nothing like having a water bottle rain down on you from 20 ft to get your attention. Even after all that, I did have a large doe move in right at dark. Had to scare her off to get down.

Nasty ole bear... I'd be pissed If that happen to me. Fortunately I don't have to worry about that just yet. But if FWC has their way we'll have more bears then you can shake a stick at.
