Doe day hunt

Post by jtcmedic » Sat Nov 18, 2017 12:40 pm

Sitting for doe day and this guy came out at 45 yd nose down, and I hit him double lung with muzzleloader jumped and fell over less then 3 yd from impact 150is lb. never seen him on any of my cameras. Have had tons of does walking and had one picked out if she showed , he came first so he will be in the freezer and provide me and family some great meat.
A great morning

He has a little point at the base on the left about a inch . I’m gonna count it can’t eat it though. Teeth age he was 3-4 he is chilling in the cooler for a couple days

10-4, now I see that 13th point. Antlers are such a big deal anymore to most folks. When I was coming up in central Florida, any point that you could hang a ring on was counted. Like you said, you can't eat it.
We've gone back to a 6 point rule on our lease. Some of the boys think that all the folks around us will follow along and do the same thing after talking with them. Personally I doubt it. We feed 'em, they jump the fence, end of story. Here at our place, if he's legal, he's fair game.
