Doe

Post by jtcmedic » Mon Nov 19, 2018 9:59 pm

Well was able to get my first doe tonight, but the best part about it was that my son was in the stand and he was so excited. Shot her at 60 yds with muzzleloader, double lung and still ran 60 yards. Was a great night and I think it hooked my son. I was never able to hunt with my dad, and then we moved to Florida the year we were going to start. Dad said no snow and stopped hunting. He passed 15 years ago, but I self taught here in Florida and have now taken both of my kids out. What a night .

Good job! Congratulations, some fine venison for your table. Glad your son was with you. My dad didn't care a thing about hunting but he gave the fish in Central Florida a fit beginning in the late 40's. I sure loved to fish with him, he's been gone for almost 40 years. Time flies. I had an uncle that loved to hunt and I was able to tag along with him when I was a little feller. I didn't kill my 1st deer until I was 20 years old, I was able to cut that number in half for my son. He killed his 1st buck when he was 10 a day I'll never forget!
Keep that boy in the woods!
