Epic gator start-- STA and Hancock

Post by fishindad » Mon Aug 20, 2012 12:48 pm

I dont even know really how to start. It started slow and ended awesome. While we still have 1 more tag to fill, its been great. We got STA1W and Hancock this year. The first 2 nights came up with nothing. THEN it started. 3 days in a row, 1 gator each night. We also went out with some friends and they filled their 2 tags on Friday night. I will let the pics speak for themselves.

1 - 10.2 ft
1 - 9.7 ft
1 - 10 ft

The other group we were with got a 9 and an 11 respectively. I cant emphasize the use of a hand-line enough. It is absolutely the way to go. One more tag for us but what a start. Go gettum fellas!

One item of note... Bill from G&B Gator gear was awesome and VERY helpful. I would highly recommend if you are looking for supplies getting them from him. We ran out of tackle and he pulled some extra stuff together for us saving the day.

Nice lizards! Y'all should have a show on Discovery Channel!
