this is where i am at. platform , bracing and ladder is done. Papaj. to get the angle on the legs, i layed the 4x4 on a corner and cut a 15 degree angle on the end of the post.

not sure if i like the angle of the ladder. might have to change that. although it is easy to get up and you can come down facing away from it if you want.

hope you used pressure treated.. if not your wasting your time. looks good tho.. the ladder needs to be different.. angle is way too much.

You gonna just put sides up to shooting level and leave it open to the top, or do you plan to put windows in it? The best ones like that that I've hunted from were on a ranch in Texas, just south of San Antonio. They built the window sills out of 2X6 and had sand bags and some wood blocks in each stand to rest your rifle on at just the right height.

will be enclosed. with windows and a roof. don't want to keep it open, can sit in a ladder stand and get rained on. lol heighth to the bottom of the window will be 36" which is about perfect for me. allows you to shoot down without trying to sit akwardly in a chair.

got the front wall and rear wall down. will be building the side and roof, should be done by this weekend. hopefully will have it out in the woods soon.

LOOKS GOOD BUT THE LADDER ANGLE WONT FLY, WHEN THOSE 2X4S START TO AGE THEY WILL SNAP INTO AT THAT ANGLE, NEED TO MAKE IT STEAPER. JUST MY HUMBLE OPION. loOKS GOOD THOU. GOOD LUCK.

I built two like that and I made my acess in the floor, door with hinged on the floor. Mine were 4' wide and six' long, it worked fine. I am doing the same at my club but I think that i will use the steel brackets that they sell for the legs. Keep up the good work they are nice to hunt from.

3 of the walls are built and on. finish the other and roof tomorrow, hopefully. everything is made to come apart for easy transport.
