you could not have ordered a better day weatherwise, or just all around good company/food/friends/banter and fondling some real nice weapons. Russ's early 70's S&W mdl 29 44 mag with a 8 3/8 bbl, aside from being such a classic, had the nicest action and sweetest trigger pull I've ever felt on a revolver. compare that side by side with Any 44 mag revolver made today and they will look/feel like a pos. dirty Harry knew his guns. being shown up shooting wise by a 17 y/o was humbling but time marches on. can't wait to do it again. the birds were flying at lightspeed and now very wary, spotting hunters and doing U turns at 60 mph. the kid definately had the best shot of the day, a fast snap shot at app 30 yds going straight away I believe.

nothing like a traditional sotuthern style dove hunt with good friends and good food. one of the high points of any gatherirng is the show and tell. always fun to look at some real neat stuff and no pressure from the sales staff. and that little 44 mag is my wife's favorite she even says it belongs to her. we all found out how soft florida sugar sand can be on the way out. it is always great watching this hunting tradition being passed on to the next generation. just an all around good day.

oh yeah some serious zingers, onion bustin, lies, outrageous gun trades/deals/sales, and one liners. one from Russ still has me giggling, I asked Russ, "you know what I'm curious about?" and he says, "what Nacho, homosexuality?"lol. the usual about Robs height, but nothing about my weight or bald head spooking doves. guess they're saving some ammo for next time.
