2012 2nd Phase FL Dove Season Opener 10 November 2012

Post by M12Gunboy » Tue Oct 16, 2012 8:15 am

2nd Phase FL Dove Season Opener 10 November 2012, Sun up to sun down, $60.00 per person, cash only.

Bring your own food, drink, cooler, gun, plenty of ammo and gear. Don't forget to get your free migratory bird HIP permit for migratory birds with your hunting license. The migratory bird HIP permit DOES NOT expire at the same time as your hunting license so make sure it is current.

Hunt is located in Davenport, FL. The address is 1510 Horseshoe Creek Rd Davenport FL 33837. This address is to the property owner’s house, not the hunting location. You have to go app a mile past the owner’s house and make a left at the end of the paved road onto a dirt road. The pavement road ends at the WMA located to the right. Take the dirt road to the left straight in for ¼ mile and follow the signs to the dove fields. You will see where the fence is open and a matted vehicle path goes into the fields and pastures. You can call 863-287-2357 to get more information.

I will be driving a little white Chevy S-10 PU (Little Joe) and can be reached on my cell at 407-488-5814 if you have questions or difficulties. I should be there early Saturday morning the 10th.

They are open every Saturday and Sunday the season runs in all three phases. I have to go to California for a wedding this weekend and the weekend of the 27th we have other plans. Weekend of the 3rd of November is the closed week between phase 1 and phase 2. They won't charge for the kids to retreive birds but I'm not sure I'd want my little guys running around a dove field with a bunch of guys shooting shotguns over head. Most times in a dove field with alot of hunters you'll hear and sometimes feel the shot falling from above.

more like a sombrero, if not for the sun, then the lead rain. hopefully future hunts won't be as crowded. I'm down for 11/10.
