Anyone have plans for this season? Haven't seen anything on here yet. I know there was a big thread last year.

Check with Gunboy...he rallied the group together last year.

Speaking of doves, if you guys have a moment check this out, I wouldn't believe if I didn't see it with my own eyes...

2 new to me shotguns to use. a 12 ga Belgian Browning double auto that loads on the left (easier for me), and a Beneli 20 ga montfeltro, I like the Beneli inertia system. loading last year was a PIA. I should be able to miss more birds faster now.

That's funny. That's kind of how i feel when shooting an auto. 50% more shells in the same amount of time.

Micah There are plenty of doves out at the tomatoes don't know if they will be there when season opens.I plan to take the boys when it comes time. I got a single shot 20 gauge that he shot with slugs. So I might take him to the range before we go.Let me know.

That may work as the place I normally dove hunt may not be available. Don't know what this season holds out there.

$60.00 per person per day. Bring your own food, drink, cooler, gun, plenty of ammo and gear. You can call 863-287-2357 to get more information and the address of the hunt from the fellas who offer the hunt. Plenty of doves, fields with planted grains and water sources. Shooting starts at 12:00 noon until sunset opening day of first phase.

Hunt is located in Davenport, FL.

P.S. Don't forget to get your free HIP permit for federal migratory birds with your hunting license and don't forget to ensure your pump and semi-auto shotguns have plugs not allowing more than 3 rounds to be loaded.

As for my stepson and I this year, I'm not sure if we will be hunting at all this season. My current position and contract at MacDill AFB in Tampa is being terminated due to the federal government sequestration/furlough/budget shortfalls and reductions in force. Might be gone working elsewhere after 15 September... Can't say more... If we can be there, we will see you on the 5th of October....

That sucks Rob. Hope you find something that suits you. I may try and make one or more of these hunts if work permits. If not I will hopefully hunt local. Where is Davenport?
