I definitely want in on at least one of the shoots! Been so long since I've been dove hunting I'll need to bring about 2 boxes of shells per bird! Used to be able to take 2 boxes, get a limit and have shells left over. But that was over 25 years ago (I'll be 45 Saturday!). Man, time flies like a whitewing dove on meth!

we talked about the dove hunts yesterday. from the sounds of it we are gonna plant about 40 acres of millet. last year we planted 600 acres. But we are gonna limit the spots to about 10 people.

here is how the dove shoots are gonna work this year. will be a whole day event. we are doing packages only. except for special circumstances. and hey, don't shoot the messenger-- i only work for the guy.

1 adult package ---- morning hunt 12 quail ---- dove hunt from 3:00 pm until dark $195.00

each adult hunting will have to purchase a package. minor children hunting with and adult is no charge.

Can either leave for lunch or bring your own fixin's. have a nice picinic area.

Due to reclamation project going on-- in the middle of mowing and planting trees, we were unable to plant any millet. the doves are still there in good numbers, but will not have a planted field to sit on.

Hunts will be every saturday that it is legal to hunt doves, and hunts are limited to 10 people.

im sure the hunts will fill up. i have never been to a paid dove hunt, sure its fun with the food and all. especially if the birds are flying. it can get boring if the birds arent moving, or if its too windy.
