Quail? Anyone?

my mom has two acres of land that borders Chazz and yesterday when i was out scouting for deer and hog I was walking thourgh the upland pines i had about 25 quail fly up 1 yard or so away. Thats the second time in like 2 weeks that i jumped big numbers of quail. So i think i'm going to try hunting them this season

I found a place near me with in fifty mile that has wild quail, just waiting the weather to coooool down
first time for wild birds for my dogs !!! :

I know in Citrus WMA they have the Field Trial Area where you can run your dogs for training. Its pretty open in there with lots of pines and thick underbrush. Im sure that would be a decent area to check out

bucknut look on the fwc website not sure where it is buth they are putting quail on a few wma's this year. a budy of mine was tellin me the other day about it. i've seen great numbers in lake gorge dexter mary's unit. dont know if they alow dogs in there though and its also a long ride from your place. and on another note i got that muzzleloader dialed in real nice and drew a 3 day permit on a good wma neer my place for then end of oct. man i cant wait. thanks again.
