Quail at Croom WMA

Post by tempus » Mon Sep 27, 2010 1:13 pm

Has anybody seen quail at Croom WMA? A general area of the sighting would be nice. I have a 1 yr old Llewellin setter that needs to get some bird time. Thanks.

There are a few, but not many at all. I have seen some around the whole area of #7 and #9. That whole general area, from there back to the motorcycle area is sorta open pines that was burned a few years back and is wide open. Like I said there are not many. Also saw a covey on #7 between the sand pits and twin ponds camp ground on the East side of the road
