How many of you dog Hunters are running Garmin collars only? We use to double collar, garmin and quick track, the dogs but quit a couple of years ago. The only problem is on public hunts. Lots of inference and no signal. I saw today that magnum came out with a new collar style that lets you slide the quick track unit on a dc40 collar. I think we are going to get some old collars changed over to try this. Has anyone else used this new style unit?

Re: Garmin collars and quick tracks
I run double as do most of my friends. they have those slide-on telemetry collars. I still use my older quicktracks. Do you know of a place where you can trade in the old style telemtry? I'd consider it then possibly.
My BIL runs garmin-only on his hog and deer dogs though.

Magnum does it for 45. New battery, housing and check frequency. Fixing to send some in but it only works with the 40 collars

I'm pretty sure they call the ones that slide on the DC-40's the tag-a-long and have come up with a way to put one on the DC-50's and TT-10's called the ride-a-longs.
