So i picked up a new 3 year old started rabbit beagle, ive hunted with her before and shes strictly business.

So i made the decision to just leave dixie as a pet and run "ruby" and our new dog "trudy". They're both from the same blood line but trudy is full bloodline.

Well soo how this works. I put trudy and ruby in the same kennel and her first night was rough. After ruby jail raped her for hours they are finally in the doghouse sleep together!

One thing bout this pup is. It had just "locked up" with my friends beagle 3 days ago. Im kinda hoping it "didnt take" cause i really dont want to deal with a litter.

Ill let trudy train ruby, once they are running rabbits together ill bring dixie back into the pack. Right now all she does is distract and put bad habbits on ruby.

Nothing like a seasoned dog teaching a young one. Good luck

Need to get you a dead rabbit and do some drags. You got plenty of room to do it. Straight line for 20 yards, no turns. Wait a couple hours and let them trail it. Reward at end. Gradually add distance, turns and length of time. Reward and praise at end.

Better yet, get a harness for your pet rabbit and take him for walks thru the woods...

Did drags with a dead rabbit and it works. A harness for the rabbit. Might try that

That's why they call it dog hunting. Looks like you have the robo collars... that helps a lot.

That's the agonizing part of running dogs that I don't miss. A buddy of mine lost a hound and a collar last week in Okeechobee . The most high tech systems out there are still useless if you forget to turn the collars on. :no

I remember forgetting to pull magnets on the old style tracking systems and getting my arse chewed out all day. Then someone else would forget the next day and I could return the chewing
