The guides down in Louisiana use them to get back into some of the marshes and bayous. First time I was in one they took us out to our duck blinds, then later that day we went down and caught trout and reds in some of the canals cut by the oil companies. You can go into some skinny water with those things, but they are kinda noisy.

In one of the James Bond movies with Roger Moore, he's over in Thailand and racing through the canals in long skinny little wood boats powered by mud motors. Looked like a lot of fun!
