I put my battery in the front. its a heavy AGM style. That made a HUGE difference. I love my Gheenoe. I have have the same model as yours.

Another solution and the easiest of all is to get some marine grade JB Weld and roll out a piece the width of the transom, put it the bottom of the hull right at the rear edge. Basically what you will do is disrupt the water flow and pitch the front end downward, a marine dealer told me to do this to my Jon Boat and it worked perfectly.

Exactly what it is, when I bought my boat I asked about having tabs welded on and the dealer said much cheaper and just as effective. My boat 17.5' would ride up and I couldn't trim it enough until I added the strips about the width of 1 1 1/2 pencils, instantly the boat hit plane and nothing was given up performance wise. Soon as it is light enough I will get some pictures and post them up.

i say it easy to remote the bat up front,cooler too, Even fuel tank easy I had my fuel tanks on quick disconnects for if i had guest. problem is at end of day when fuel is low.
