Paint may work for fish, but it is flat & 1 dimensional, it's a good base however. Think 3 dimensional & how it will look from above, how a flying duck will see it. Reed/marsh grass like camo (a bit bulky) can be had & works well, when hugging the shoreline & the boat is against a bank of reeds. A leafy flage type of tarp/netting is quick/easy & works well for more open water. You can use it for a ground blind/tree stand also.
