simple, low operating cost, low maintenance, smart move.

Ok last week me and my wife got the flooring in the jonboat! When I first did it I was too lazy to take out the front battery so I cut around it well I wasn't happy with that so I bought a new piece of padding pulled out the battery & installed the madding under it, put the battery back and then put the scrap piece of padding in the back.

It's really solid it's basically one and a half inch foamboard insulation the real hard stuff that's closed cell foam with a layer of 3/8 inch horse stall padding over topImageImageImage

I also installed two new tiedown cleats in the rearImage

The boat is coming along nicely. Just installed a 10ft Power Pole on my boat, Blade edition. Not sure why I waited so long to get one, its been the best piece of fishing equipment I ever purchased. Based on the size and weight of your boat, even an 8ft would be over kill. The micro is a good idea, but the signature series might be the way to go. Lighter and comes in 4ft and 6ft versions.

That's cool flooring Carlos. That foam board won't absorb water? If not I may go that route with my small V-hull. I was going to put down some non-skid but that looks a lot more comfortable.

Nope. Its closed cell foam but you have to get a certain brand/type.

The only thing I do not like about the anchors that shoot straight down into the water, like the micro or minkota, is that when you start dealing with wake or rolling waves, it doesn't seem like there is enough shock absorption. The weight of your boat may not matter but I took a minkota off of mine, it coundn't handle +4,000 lbs bouncing up and down.

My bad...Minn Kota Talon....it's all electric, no hydraulics, not a bad idea but IMO, not made for saltwater
