Hog catching gone wrong today

Post by Bossman » Fri May 30, 2014 6:51 pm

A friend of mine has a son that got into a little trouble today while trying to catch some hogs. They had already caught one and in the process of catchting the second. Said that he had the hog pinned and went to sit up and grab the tie rope out of his rear pocket and the hog kicked and made him loose his balance. He fell on the hog and put him into a head lock to try and keep from getting cut... it didn't work to well. He went into surgery to get it all cleaned up and sewed up... Last word was he got out of surgery ok and is going to have to stay overnight.

that is why I don't catch hogs. My .357 puts the odds in my favor and on my plate. Not visa versa. good luck with that.

Those cutters are obviously sharp. Too close to the femoral artery for comfort, He got lucky, if you call a wound like that luck. A good clean cut like that on a healthy young man (barring infection) should heal well & fast. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. If He's gonna continue tying up those tuskers, and wants kids someday, he may want to consider storing some DNA juice in a bank. It makes me cringe & cross my legs thinking of what COULD have happened.

Dam hope he's ok! That's a pretty nasty cut.

He is doing well and got out of the hospital 1 June and back at it. He seems to be in good spirits... all I can say is young and tough!

The black things on the bottom are strings to help with draining. And they had to sew it up loose so it would heal from the inside out

Glad you clarified that...I was beginning to think they rednecked it up and sewed him up with mule tape...Not that there is anything wrong with that.
