Got a new Savage XP black synthetic in 25-06 and did this to it.

More than happy how it came out.

How much does something like that cost to do yourself?

I used the mydipkit.com product.

Purchased the kit for $99. Probably enough film to do 3-4 full rifle stocks. Only problem is i think i will run out of the other spray on supplies. The same amounts of activator, base coat, clear coat and primer are sent as with the $69 kit. (Prob enough to do 1-2 guns and some small items )

Its not perfect...but dang good for a first attempt.

Learned some things to try next time.

It is a PIA getting that big a piece of film layed in the water correctly. I used a big tupperware container.
