That's great! Good luck with them, they are so interesting! I don't own bees but we have a bee yard on our farm where a neighbor keeps bees. He moves them to the creek swamp for the early Tupelo bloom, then back to the various bee yards around the county for the agricultural bloom and also the evil Popcorn tree bloom. The Popcorn tree (Chinese Tallow), yields a very heavy flow of commercial grade honey.
We were happy just to have him keep some bees on our place as they are great for the family garden, but we even more blessed and surprised to find he pays rent with honey!

I have a buddy that keeps bees in two large hives right next to the entrance to his garage in Lutz. They used to make me nervous when I'd go over when they were out buzzing around but I got used to them. Now I look forward to a big ol' mason jar of honey every year!

If I wan't so allergic to them I would have a few boxes to. We used to have orange groves around my area and lots of bees. Now not many bees and have to hand pollinate the veggie garden.

We need them for our survival.
I sit one spot almost right above a bunch of hives.

Good luck
