It's supposed to be warming up for this weekend. Where is our cold weather. That would help get them moving.

citrus wma deer

Post by trouttouter » Tue Dec 03, 2013 9:24 pm

Saw a good number of does this past weekend in the muzzleloader opener. I personally saw not one buck. My cousin took a spike chasing a doe just before dark Saturday night. That was the only buck we saw between my cousin, my dad, and me. Those bucks flip nocturnal like it is going out of style when the pressure turns on.

The best was a dude chopping down trees with a machete Sunday morning. I was in a blind and was planning on sitting until noon. At 9:30 this dude starts hacking on a tree. 15 minutes later it finally went down. I thought good. That is all done. Then he starts in on another tree. I took the chair out of the blind and went and sat somewhere else. People do stuff like this then wonder why they don't see any deer all hunt.

He must have been building quite the ground blind. I'm sure He used enough orange tape to find it, LOL.

Can't believe it. I actually saw a buck this morning in citrus. it came in and I thought it was a doe. But when it moved he his ear I saw one spike antler. I let it pass because I know he will have better antlers next year.

looked like a wash out this weekend. nothing really moving and rain. I can't coomplain about the rain, we do need it. Wish it would have been much colder than this muggy nasty weather we had.

I didn't go cause I knew it would be a waste of time, there again I only live a couple miles from where I hunt. I wonder how many were even checked in this last hunt. I kinda wish they (FWCC) would make it archery only and do away with the gun hunts.
