Various pics down in the big swamp I hunt, the thicker areas are of one of those magnolia ridges within the hammock I was talking about the other day. You can see a game trail in the first pic going to the left of the stump. I have my cam facing down it

Nice! Is that all in Steinhatchee?

Nice shot of the owl, not the easiest thing to do in the middle of the day.

Yeah I had my 300 zoom lens on and it was down in the swamp. So I had to use a slower shutter speed, hence the reason it was a little blurry

Good stuff! good to see someone else doing some early homework. I went scouting Saturday also, and I'll tell you we got devoured by redbugs. I bet I have 60 bites, and a few from ticks also. I had my camera in another WMA when I retrieved it the batteries were dead, and they were brand new in the the box. Next time I will remember to check how much power the camera says the batteries have before wasting so much time. Any way the camera is set with a fresh power supply so I should have some pics for you fellas in about 3 weeks. I hope you have some pics to share as well.

First time I set my D55IR to video mode. Sorta happy, sorta not. I did learn the deer are actually crossing this trail, not walking down it. I had a ton of videos that were blank, which I am sure something triggered it and videoed after it walked across the trail. I have my tree picked out accordingly

Here is one of the better ones.

**HINT*
I popped the SD card out of the game cam and into my digi cam while in the woods. It only showed 3 pics. I almost deleted them and popped the card back in, then remembered the cam was in video mode. Upon downloading onto my laptop all the videos showed up. Just a suggestion if you are doing this stuff like I do int he field

How many videos did it take and how much memory did it use up? Whats settings are you running?

My opening morning tree. Pics don't really show the true aspect of this spot. Lighter area in background is the edge of a 2 year old cutdown edge. This is 20ft from my cam to its left

Little flag pond about 40 yards to the East. Funnel leads right to my tree. Tore up with hog sign

Batteries were brand new. It took 25 videos and 12 pictures. Batteries still 98%. Cam up two weeks exactly. I need to change video setting to a longer time, like 20 seconds if I can. Not sure if its an option. My cam is 1.7 miles off the road, so its not a quick check.lol

I have thought about doing this but afraid it would use all the memory up before the batteries died or I got back to it.
