Do they go off when you pull the trigger? They look good, wonder how they pattern in your gun?

guess you got a tumbler, nice and shiny. almost too pretty to shoot. did you name each round? let your ex fire the first few to test em out, lol. I wouldn't get too far ahead of yourself until you find the sweet spot of powder wt, oal (over all length) and group size. start say 2 gr's or so below max level and load 5-10 rounds going up 0.5 gr's at a time until you find the wt that shoots best. congrats, good work.

+2, you never know just how the rounds will go until you try them, it is a pain in the A?s if you have a load that will shoot a ten inch pattern at 20 yards, then you have to pull all the bulletts and reload them, so do maybe 10 rounds.. that gives a good example...

What do you think it costs per round to load that batch? Not talking about equipment...Just casings, powder. primers, and bullets
I found a good supply of bulk 5.56 loaded target ammo yesterday at a good price, just curious as to what kind of price variance it is to load your own versus what I paid for it

Well (20) 5.56 from the store ready to shoot cost $10.00.

Thats .50cents a round. So for 100 from the store it would cost me $55.00.

For me to make 100 its bout $37.00 for 62 grain fmjs, and primers, powder. The more i make the better price.

For me its about pleasure and peace and quiet. It keeps me calm when im stressed.

before all this political BS, sometimes it was cheaper to buy bulk military surplus or Russian/Chinese bulk loaded ammo in 9mm,223,7.62. but you got steel cases that could not be re-loaded, inferior powder/primers/bullets/accuracy. today even with re-loading supplies rising in cost and harder to come by it's still cheaper to make + you get a better quality bullet. I'm sure a lot of it is in your head, but I think you will shoot a bullet you made yourself better than one you bought.

Heck I'll go against the crowd...load em up...make go bang, bang, bang, 200 is just enough to get started.

going bang, bang, bang is nice but being able to hit something at the same time is better. also a lesson I learned the hard way, seat the first bullet without a primer or powder in it and be sure they feed/eject before loading up a large batch.

My faimly met at my grandmothers house tonight, exchanged gifts and such. My brother got my a reloading press, afew dies, trimmers, priming tool. I'm fairly excited.

Where locally can I source powders/primers/bullets?
