Duck Season reloading time

Post by fishindad » Sun Jul 21, 2013 5:23 pm

Just reloaded 100 rounds. 12 Gauge #2 1520 fps 3 inch shells.

Got the supplies for 200 more. That should do it for me for the season. Came together pretty well. Now to paint some decoys!!! for those who want to know 38 grains of Steel Powder. Test at the range shortly!!!

Thanks. The cool part was the savings. (Keep in mind - I go the press at a garage sale and fixed it up -- thats not part of the cost)

I make them for about 6.40 a box. The comparable Kent Faststeels are around 14.50 a box before tax!

For the most part, shotgun reloading does not save any money on the standard stuff. Its all the steel and custom loads that save money. Sometimes its pretty significant.
