The guy working on my vehicle says 10 days to 2 weeks still. This is a friend doing the work for a real good price plus he is one of the better mechanic's around.

So I am looking at July for sure,so close but yet so far.

Sure wish there was something I could do to help. You want I should come up there and bring my Louisville Slugger and "motivate" him?

I think a bunch a southern "gentlemen" dressed in camo and totin shotguns will get the mechanic's attention.

Man, Rion, you just ain't go no luck. Wish I was closer to where you were, I'd figure out a way to tow your camper and ur SUV down to PCB. There are so many wrecked suv's down there that you can't help to find one that runs better than what you have. I'd seriously take it someplace to find out if it really is toast, or if it's just some internal part that needs fixin. I know you can get a rebuilt crate 6 cyl motor from Advanced Auto for around $1000 or less. Sounds to me like you've already spent almost that much just to find out from your "ace" mechanic that the engine is shot. All stuff he should have been able to tell right off.
