This was my feeling. The other public land users have the remaining +/- 8 months of the year to do what they please on the WMA's. The state has no problem keeping hunters out during this time, why should the state have a problem keeping berry pickers/bird watchers out during hunting season?

That's exactly what they do on the federal military installations I hunt... No pickers, watchers, hikers, campers or wood collectors during hunting seasons... or they close an area to hunters and allow our other nature going friends to do there thing...

I think the berries have to be ripe, just my guess.

I don't hold anything against you Nacho. You were getting a little existed and did not what that. sorry if i offended you in any way.

I hunted tiger bay a bit and what su00s is i know the deer in this area eat the berries and its a place you will see deer.
Now with guys are smacking the palmettos with sticks like some primitive game drive: (I am Not sitting there with a gun listening to the dogs coming but sitting with a bow for a up-close experience) It take you will away to even try and hunt there anymore.

What gets me is we as hunters, will get fined for littering. Yet these berry pickers will destroy the place with lunch wrappers and drink bottles, and should be deported, yet nothing is done about them
