What are your fav or special camp recipes lets share a few!!

This is a good one for the guy taht gets a bunch of deer and wants a good camp meat that lasts a longtime!

Canned deer by grandma: 20 lbs of cubed ham and shoulder meat, pack tightly into canning jars, lid them and pressure cook for 1 hr 30 mins per 10 lbs!
Store them on the shelf until needed open up pop it into skillet reheat add spices or sauces can make chili, stews or soups!Fast easy and long lasting!!

Well i love foil cooking.

Take some foil.. Cut up cut up some boneless chicken, potatoes, carrots, corn, and wrap it all up and throw it on hot coals til done.

For a mega meal. I like Hog backstraps, baked beans, Baked potatoes with chives and butter, and corn on the cob.. ALL made on an open fire. It tastes better that way!

We do a lot of cooking at home and freeze meals in vacuum bags. That way all we have to do is heat up when we come in from the woods. Usually if we are not hunting the afternoon we will fry something. Like tonight we are frying backstrap and taters at camp. Tomorrow night I have a big container of venison stew cooked

Man you all are making me hungry.

not a camp recipe, but real good quail recipe: Diced tomatoes, onion, fresh spinach, diced bell peppers, and lots of garlic : mix it all together and season to taste with Adobo, stuff the bird with afore mentioned concoction, wrap each bird from neck to hiney with a slice of bacon, sprinkle with adobo once more and place on smoker. When bacon is cooked, your bird is done. I've stuffed them, fried 'em, and tried lots of different homemade methods, and this is by far the tastiest.

At camp I usually throw a ham or shoulder (de-boned) into my turkey deep fryer. And let it simmer all morning in bar-b-q sauce and water, then about noon throw in some rice, and bam.

I guess you have removed all the oil from the fryer first?
