New from Jacksonville by way of North Georgia
Hello everyone! I recently moved to Jacksonville from a little mountain town in North Georgia where I had lived all of my life until now! It is very flat down here. haha I will need help with everything so get ready for some questions! I picked up a regulation book and am confused on a few things, but will research some more before I start the questioning. I have no idea how to hunt flat land. Where to hunt. How the quota hunts work (we had them in GA but they seem to be different down here). How to get in touch with people about leases. And a lot of other stuff! haha I'm glad to be a member on here now because it will help me to catch on to a few things and am looking forward to all Florida has to offer! So thanks and we'll be talking to you soon!

Welcome to the site.
Some people are like Slinkies ... not really good for anything, but you can't help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

I'm originally from Chatsworth, it's a little town about 15 miles East of Dalton, if you've ever even heard of Dalton!Iluv2hunt wrote:Welcome! What town in Ga you from?

Here is a place to start and their leases opened up the 19th of this month so now is the time to act.
BTW welcome on board!

Yep. Know the area. That's West of where we used to go. Our old neighbors had a place in Young Harris/Blairsville so I spent many a summer up there.Tundra10 wrote:I'm originally from Chatsworth, it's a little town about 15 miles East of Dalton, if you've ever even heard of Dalton!Iluv2hunt wrote:Welcome! Tundra10, this is a pretty good place to keep up with the hunting and fishing around the state. Got 2 brothers-in law living in the Blairsville area, they probably been there over 20 years. I feel like a fish out of water when we go to north Georgia, too many mountains, not enough flat woods, so it what you are used to, or where you grew up.

Yeah I imagine so, it always was on the GA forum. haha Yeah I'm afraid that's the way I'm going to be down here, won't know what in the world I'm doing, but I'm looking forward to learning!treefarmer wrote:Tundra10, this is a pretty good place to keep up with the hunting and fishing around the state.
