I live in Sarasota, but I'm currently in Miami for the summer (until late August). If anyone bass fishes or gets on the inshore bite, I will gladly supply beer and gas $. I work during the week, but I'm free to meet up any time on the weekends. I really want to fish for some peacock, snakehead, and bass, but any fishing is good fishing.
Any recommendations on where to fish on foot for bass in the Miami area is much appreciated as well.

Miami is big. There is good fishing in Hialeah, Miami Lakes, and West Kendall.

Re: Miami area bass or inshore
I'm in Coral Gables just south of UM. I should also add that besides looking to meet up with someone to fish from a boat, I've been looking to just fish from shore/bank as well. I've been driving around searching. Also, I see canals (such as Snapper) on GoogleMaps, but I haven't checked any of them out yet. Any recommendations or words of warning are appreciated!

If you can get into UM the massive lake there has some big tarpon, snook, and jacks. The Gables Waterway is good for jacks, and snook.

UM is walking distance, so that works perfect. Thanks!
