Barnett Customer Service!!

Post by Cr0ck1 » Mon Sep 16, 2013 8:12 am

So opening day i had me and my son in the stand. I had to lower the crossbow down the front of the stand (ill never do that again). As i was lowering down the string snapped & the scope hit the ladder rung. Well it cracked the part that holds the scope mount, & cracked the plastic piece on the eye relief. So im sitting here at the barnett warehouse in tarpon springs and the lady comes out and takes it to the back.

She says "well the scope, and mount well replace for free. Also on the way down the cb hit the cam and the limb, so we have to replace the scope, mount, limbs & cams." I said well what is that going to cost? She said 75 bucks cause the cams and limbs have damage of a dry fire! I said trust me there was no dryfire. She then said "well we will split it with you $35.00 and well change it all.! Cool i feel thats good. It was all my fault.

So i guess once again barnetts customer service gets an A from me.

I always wondered why some bows with the same fps were double the price, cause there lighter. My bow was like a brick falling. Just cant believe all that damage.

Thats why i allways wanted a predator, the limbs have a thick rubber coating on them. A ladder hit would of did nothing to the predator limbs.

Dont get me wrong....I agree 100%....I would get it fixed too, however it occurred.....the guy I know didnt tell them he had dry fired it....I think he BS'd them that it all just happened during normal use....still....I think they have pretty good service....

Hell it fell from 8 feet up and the scope hit the rung on the way down. But i heard 2 clanks. I guess one hit the scope then the last hit the limb/cam.

Everyone I know who has owned a Barnett has had a great customer service report. They fixed mine last year. New limbs/cables/string/cams, etc and replaced the trigger and safety. Basically brand new except for the stock for $35. They replaced everything on my dads old CB that I sold to a buddy, and he blew it apart for $35. For us in Fla it is great because you can drive to the factory and get it worked on
My buddy has had a Horton, and now a Stryker (made by Bowtech). Based on the issues he has had with both of them, you couldn't give me one of either of them. He has had to drive from camp to Tampa 2 years in a row the day before season opens because the exact same thing broke
