Enjoyin' the hunting reports, y'all are having a big time getting stuck and shooting at deer, hogs and snakes!

Iluv2hunt, what are those cable lookin' deals just on the other side of the snake?

Been a light rain off and on since Sat. morning here in Washington County.

It was slow yesterday until I grunted with my call once. The woods woke up. I watched the 4pt come out looking for a fight. He ran the does all around me again yesterday. After him not lining up for a shot for the first few mins (and me having quite the show and forgetting I'm there to kill him, not watch), his attention was drawn back off 100 yds where the thick swamp starts. I could see a big deer's legs and chest but not head. The 4pt quickly disappeared and the does were nervous. I knew it was one of the bigger bucks I had on camera. He never came out any further and paced back there where I couldn't see his head. Maybe today will be better.i think the buck pacing was this guy..

Not a totally wasted weekend....we have the pigs chummed up, passed on a few chances on em. By myself and just didn't want to mess with it.

Son built one of those "pig pipes" we set out a few weeks ago. LOL...pigs tore it loose from the anchor and rolled it about 100 yds from where he had it.

Drizzled most of the weekend and yesterday...sometimes a little heavier.

Took advantage and spent most of Sunday cutting a trail to a hardwood swamp. Been wanting to get in there for a while and finally water dropped enough. Had been waist deep in there. It's a hike but is just what I like to hunt. Got the stand set yesterday.

It's one of those places where the loggers cut thru the swamp to get to another pine block a few years ago.....beautiful!

Should continue to dry up.

Got caught with a camera watching a bunch of jakes....missed a shooter.

"It's one of those places where the loggers cut thru the swamp to get to another pine block a few years ago" Didn't think they were supposed to do that. wet lands and cypress bays they were not allowed to even drive thru. I mite be wrong, just what I thought. Anyway, nice looking area and as long as you can get there. the deer don't mind walking thru water. good area and most people wont go into those areas because of the water and how hard it is to get there. That doe sneak out on ya while watching then turkeys? Come turkey season it will be the other way around

RIP 7pt. Checking that scrape b4 dark was a fatal move.
