Bokeelia - Spring 2015

Post by Triple Creek Reaper » Tue Apr 21, 2015 1:35 pm

Got down to Bokeelia on Friday afternoon, fished until Sunday afternoon. Had a great time with the wife and kid and spent some time with a good friend and meet his fiance for the 1st time. We got into alot of trout and shark, ended up keeping one 3 ft blacktip for eating. My buddy took everyone into town for lunch on Saturday afternoon while I got 3 hours to myself on the water. With 4 poles in the water and the whole cooler at my disposal, I was in heaven. No pics of the keeper shark but while my buddy was fighting it, it somehow got wrapped in the line and came back upside down and backwards. The shark went catatonic, my buddy though he had whipped him, almost reached in the water to grab his tail when a wave rolled it over, that thing woke up and immediately ripped off 50 yards of line, had to chase it with the boat. We landed it, had to double him over to get him in the live well. Som epics form the trip.
