Shrimping!!

Post by fishindad » Sat May 11, 2013 8:16 pm

I made some time this week and FINALLY got out shrimping. I lost the month of April due to household projects. I MADE time and going out twice for the last cycle. Thursday was a bit windy and the shrimp were smaller. Both days I took some friends and their sons out for their first go at this.... Its always fun too see folks reactions walking out on the flats in the dark. Once they get over the hesitation, they always have a good time.

Thursday was a total of 160 Fri was a total of 263. I would have loved to go out tonight, but my legs just said no. They seem to be getting bigger as the cycle gets more into May and June. Its really a neat thing to do for a evening.

Good stuff. Best part... the eating!!

Love it!

Go every year off the intercoastal in Sarasota Bay by Jewfish key.

Kids love it...great time.

Wade the flats or anchor in a pass (when feeling lazy) and dip em up :)

Big flush on moons like this...
